Printmaking
The Printmaking department at Missouri State University is a part of the largest and
most comprehensive undergraduate program in fine art in the state of Missouri. The
faculty teaches a curriculum that includes Intaglio, Relief, Lithography, Serigraphy
and Digital Printmaking. Enrollment in these courses is restricted to 15-18 students.
Facilities include Three intaglio presses, one lithography press, two relief presses,
five vacuum serigraphy presses, exposure unit for photo-intaglio, serigraphy, and
lithography, a variety of lithography stones, a variety of screen-printing frames,
and a Vandercook letterpress. The goal of the Printmaking program is to encourage
aesthetic sensitivity and personal expression, impart strong technical skills, promote
awareness of visual literacy, and prepare students for a variety of artistic careers.
Our graduates pursue a variety of directions such as graduate studies in art, education
and employment in fine art printmaking studios.
