Studio Art Track Option

Create and critique art

Analyze works of art of the past and the present while developing your own skills of visual expression.

Select one of eight studio emphasis areas to focus on your preferred media. Gain a strong background in criticism and theory, technical skills, and understanding of visual language and expression.
Compliment your skill-sets. This non-comprehensive major is ideal if you’re seeking a double major or plan to minor in another area. You'll gain competency in at least one foreign language and a broad arts and humanities background.
The studio art option is intended to give you a breadth of experience and understanding, rather than to prepare you for professional specialization in art or design.
